Conservations Zones & National Parks

Our scientific expertise and extensive experience enable us to build effective management programs to significantly reduce both feral animal populations and their impact on threatened species and areas of significance.
The survival of many of our precious native species is threatened by vertebrate pest animals in Australia. The impacts of invasive species include competition for food, destruction of native species habitat, spreading of weeds and diseases, and predation of our native species. The need to significantly reduce feral animal populations is both crucial and urgent. This is an enormous challenge requiring science based action as detailed in the Australian Government Threatened Species Strategy.

Our services in the conservation sector focus on applying our scientific expertise in wildlife and feral animal management to develop effective and high quality management programs to meet this challenge head on.

For example, we have the technical skills and specialist equipment to implement feral cat control which is a high priority due to their dramatic impact on our native reptiles, frog, birds and mammal species.
